Missions

Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourself.

- Romans 12:10

SAF.Church focuses on missions in two main ways:

Nazarene Missions International (NMI)

West Avenue Compassion (WAC)

West Avenue Compassion

The mission of West Avenue Compassion is to meet the immediate needs of our community while furnishing them the tools to MOVE FORWARD. West Avenue Compassion is a volunteer organization and 100% of contributions are used to provide food and services to the needy in our community. We are a proud partner with the San Antonio Food Bank.  For every dollar we received in donation, we provide needy families over thirteen dollars' worth of food and supplies.  In addition, recipients have access to a variety other services, such as the clothing pantry, classes, and job resources.

Main Food Pantry

The public food pantry is a no-contact, drive through food distribution on Tuesdays from 10am - 1pm.
Each week we serve anywhere from 300 - 400 families.
Bring ID and utility bill if possible.

Choice Pantry

Currently Suspended due to COVID-19
The choice food pantry allows our clients seeking food assistance to choose for themselves what products they receive. This service is by appointment only.

Job Listings

Due to COVID-19, the Job/Education Center has been closed until further notice. That does not mean we are not working diligently to provide opportunities for employment. Check out the current up to date job listings by CLICKING HERE.

Active Missionaries

Wilmar and Jessica Rojas

Wilmar is from Nicaragua in Central America, and Jessica is from Austin, Texas. Wilmar and Jessica have two boys, Israel and Caleb. They have been serving as missionaries in Argentina since 2011. They are assigned to the Southern Cone Field (Argentina, Chile, and Uruguay) and were appointed as Global Missionaries in 2015. During their time in Argentina they have been involved in planting a church in a nearby district and also leading a preaching point in the city of Buenos Aires.
